About
ANPA’s mission is to build relationships, leadership, and community involvement among Alaska Native professionals and organizations. Strong ties between Native leaders were established with the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). ANPA is here to continue networking today’s young and dynamic leaders by helping weave relationships and connect strong communities for a brighter tomorrow.
Who We Are
ANPA consists of not less than seven Alaska Native or American Indian tribally-enrolled board members. Each board member of the Association is 39 years of age or younger with a four year college degree, or equivalent professional experience at the time of election. ANPA also consists of paid members. Since the formation of ANPA, over 300 Alaska Native Professionals have joined membership with the association.
Our History
The Alaska Native Professional Association (ANPA) originated in 1998 with a group of young Alaska Natives living in South-central Alaska who recognized a common thread in their professional experiences. As young Native leaders, each valued the ties formed with one another in building business relationships, organization, leadership and community involvement.
