Alaska Natives have always looked out for the good of the group for survival. In order to better our communities, we must exercise our traditional Native values in this ever-changing world. ANPA partners with the Alaska Federation of Natives Convention during the month of October to coordinate a top-rate Business Expo (formerly known as the Career Fair) for major employers wishing to hire Alaska Natives in the surrounding communities. Additionally, our members serve as role models and mentors to young Alaska Natives and we are always looking for ways to expand mentoring opportunities and partnerships.
Business Expo
Get involved with the ANPA Business Expo during AFN that brings upwards of 100 companies spanning Alaska's major industries. The ANPA board will be meeting soon to determine its involvement during AFN 2007 which will be located in Fairbanks, Alaska. More information will be available in early Fall 2007.
Mentoring
Startling statistics show 50% of Alaska Natives are under the age of 18. Help shape a young Alaska Natives future by becoming a role model and mentor. Success of our future generations will be dependent upon the youth of today.
