With no staff, the majority of work toward ANPA's mission is done at the committee level. Members are encouraged to get involved by joining one or more of the six committee's listed below.
Leadership Development Committee
The Leadership Development Committee is responsible for organizing ANPA's monthly gatherings to benefit ANPA members as well as organizations and other individuals with staying current on recent events that influence the AK Native Professional Community. By participating in the LDC committee you will gain experience in event organization, establishing professional contacts, and working towards the development of Alaska's young Native Professionals.
ANPA is a non-profit membership association, primarily comprised of Alaska Native professionals seeking leadership development and networking opportunities. By participating in the membership committee, you will gain experience in recruiting, maintaining and updating membership rosters, and planning and organizing membership drives.
The finance committee is responsible for managing all payable and receivable financials, updating balance sheets and budgeting, keeping BOD members up to date on revenue.
The fundraising committee is responsible for planning and organizing ANPA's Largest Annual event summits, fairs, and retreats; research, connect, and maintain relations with ANPA's partners and sponsors and work towards obtaining a gaming permit (in progress).
Public Relations Committee
The public relations committee is responsible for taking photos of events, updating ANPA's facebook page and other social media accounts, creating flyers for events, and writing and distributing ANPA's quarterly newsletters.
Board Development Committee
The Board Development Committee is responsible for organizing and making available opportunities for ANPA board members to advance in their professional development through classes, training, or other networking opportunities. The Board Development Committee is also responsible for ANPA's administrative aspects of the association including development and updating of applications, memorandums, forms, etc.
