Jorie Zilys
Chair

Jorie has been an ANPA member since 2006 and was re-elected to a second term as Board Chair and serves on all ANPA committees. Jorie is the Institutional Advancement Officer for Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) working with fundraising, strategic and sustainability planning. Jorie is Inupiaq Eskimo from Unalakleet and is a descendant of both CIRI and BSNC. Volunteer activities include judging and scorekeeping for NYO and Junior NYO each year, volunteering in her son’s classroom and volunteering for church and community functions and gatherings.

Jorie graduated from the Foraker Group Certificate in Nonprofit Management program in December 2006, and graduated with her B.A. in Organizational Management with a Nonprofit Emphasis in April 2007. She has plans to continue her education with a M.A. in Organizational Leadership or Executive Nonprofit Leadership in 2009.








Tabetha Toloff
Vice Chair

Tabetha has been an ANPA member since 2002 and currently serves as Vice Chair and on the Membership and Leadership Development Committees. Tabetha is the Manager of Human Resources & Corporate Services for Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and is a CIRI and Bering Straits Native Corporation shareholder of Russian and Athabascan descent. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska, has lived in Nikiski and Anchorage, and has family in Kenai, Soldotna, Seward and several Lower-48 states.

Tabetha has an Associate's degree in Business from UAA, a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from APU, and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. She also serves on the board of the Bering Straits Foundation and is an active volunteer with many civic and Native organizations. Tabetha values giving back to the community and Native organizations through servant leadership, and enjoys reading, fishing, walking/hiking, motorcycling, skiing, and spending quality time with family and friends.








Angela Totemoff
Secretary

Angela Totemoff has been a member of ANPA since 2008. She works for Chenega Technology Services Corporation as a Management Intern, and is currently preparing for a full time position within Chenega Corporation upon her graduation in April 2009.  Angela grew up in the Aluutiq village of Tatitlek and is a shareholder of Chugach Alaska Corporation, and Chenega Corporation.  Angela graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2007, with a B.S. in Computer Science. She is currently attending Alaska Pacific University, and is expecting to receive her MBA in April 2009. In the fall of 2009 she hopes to start her Ph. D in Program Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Her personal interests include reading, beading headdresses, hiking and snowboarding.








Angela Gonzalez
Treasurer

Angela (Yatlin) Gonzalez is the Communications Coordinator for the Rural Alaska Community Action Program, Inc. (RurAL CAP). Prior to that, Angela worked as the Membership Director at KNBA 90.3 FM. Angela is Koyukon Athabascan, originally from Huslia, AK. Volunteer activities include the American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month Committee, KNBA membership drives and auction, and the Alaska Center for the Environment spring auction. She serves as a board member of the American Marketing Association - Alaska Chapter. She is a 2007 Top 40 Under 40 award recipient from the Alaska Journal of Commerce and Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. Angela has a BSBA in marketing from University of Tulsa.








Gary Chythlook
Director

Gary Chythlook owns a web development company Chythlook Communications.com, a business he has run since 1996. He is also designed the ANPA web site. He is originally from Dillingham, Alaska, and is a shareholder of Bristol Bay Native Corporation. Gary is the Chair of the ANPA Public Relations Committee.





 

Amber Jenkins
Director

Amber Jenkins  has been an ANPA member since 2008 and serves on multiple committees. Amber is the Programs Coordinator working with leadership development, finance, and communications for First Alaskans Institute. Amber is Alutiiq, raised in Anchorage, and is a descendant/shareholder of Koniag, Inc. Amber is Vice President of the Public Relations Student Society of America, Member of Native Student Council, and on the Koniag Shareholder Committee.

Amber graduated from Dimond High, attended the University of Nevada Reno, Alaska Pacific University, and is currently taking a few final classes at UAA, to complete a bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications and a minor in Alaska Native Studies. Amber is also part owner of Big Dipper Clothing Company and Accessories, LLC, an Alaska Native owned and operated screen printing business. In addition to work and school, Amber’s personal interests include sports, camping, fishing, hiking, and spending time with her two children, Seanna and Leutian.








Krystal Kompkoff
Director

Krystal C. Kompkoff is the program supervisor for the Outreach, Admissions & Career Transition Services office for Alaska Job Corps. In addition to serving on the board of ANPA, she currently serves as the Vice President for Health and Safety for Bayshore PTA and Member of the Blue Ribbon Panel for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. Previously, she served on the Board of the YWCA of Anchorage, the YWCA of the USA, Chair of the Board of Standing Together Against Rape, and a co-facilitator of the Anchorage/Mat-Su One-Stop Training Academy that has been so successful it has been duplicated in Fairbanks and Juneau. She is a 2004 Top 40 Under 40 recipient from the Alaska Journal of Commerce and Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. Krystal has her BA in Communications from Washington State University. She enjoys scrap booking and spending time with her two boys.








Amy Sparck Dobmeir
Director

Amy Sparck Dobmeier is Cup’ik Eskimo, one of triplet sisters, and was raised in the subsistence way of life in Bethel and Chevak, Alaska, daughter of Lucy Jones-Sparck of Chevak and the late Harold Sparck.  Sparck Dobmeier graduated from Bethel Regional High School, and holds a degree in Mass Communications from Boston University.  She has an extensive background in for-profit and non-profit, and government organizations servicing Alaska Natives.  Sparck Dobmeier experience ranges from natural resources administration at the Association of Village Council Presidents in Bethel, Alaska, to public relations with the Alaska Delegation in Washington, D.C., to Alaska Native corporate communications, and most recently as rural affairs coordinator for the Mayor of Anchorage.  Sparck Dobmeier is also vice-president of ArXotica, a winner in the 2006 and 2007 AFN Alaska Marketplace competition, which will soon launch a line of skincare products featuring wild tundra botanicals.
